From MantidProject

To download Mantid you must first join the mantid-announce mailing list and confirm you subscription by clicking on the link in the email message you receive. After joining you will be sent a mailing list password that you can use to change mailing list options e.g. digest delivery, but you will also need to use this password to access the file download area (please allow a few minutes between joining the list and attempting to download the software as the password needs to synchronise with a separate server)

• Goto the download area (you will need to enter your lowercased email address and maintid-announce list password)
• Get a mantid-announce password reminder (enter your email address at the top of this page and then press the Remind button)

Under Linux it is possible to install Mantid via yum
